This tea saucer is made by Shinko Kinzoku in Tsubame, Niigata — the same metalworking atelier behind AZMAYA's copper kettle. The base is copper, and the outer surface is finished with tin plating. Tin catches light without the brashness of polished metal — the surface reads almost matte, reserved in a way that suits a tea table. Over time, the surface picks up fine scratches and the color deepens — not damage, but the record of use.
