Shipping in Japan

  • We will send your order by Japan Post or Sagawa Express.
  • We deliver tea at a flat rate of 250 yen (free shipping for orders over 3,000 yen) and other items at a flat rate of 650 yen (free shipping for orders over 12,000 yen).
  • Items that fall under the post delivery size (such as tea) will be delivered directly to your mailbox.

International Shipping

Shipping days, shipping cost, and air courier service

We use the following air courier companies

  • Japan Post
  • DHL
  • Customers cannot choose the means of delivery, as we take into account the destination country and international conditions.

Generally, it takes about 2 weeks from the time of shipment for the goods to arrive, but in some countries, it may take more than 1 month due to delays in customs procedures, etc. We try to ship within one week of order, but it may take longer depending on product availability. Shipping costs vary greatly from country to country, so please check on the checkout page.

Additional Costs

When you purchase goods from abroad, you are an importer and are responsible for paying customs duties, sales tax, and value-added tax (VAT). The following fees may be charged by the receiving country

  • VAT of the receiving country
  • Import duties
  • Additional shipping costs to Japan

These can vary widely depending on each country's policies, and in many cases some or all of them will apply.

All customs duties and other taxes in accordance with the laws of the country to which the shipment is being shipped are the responsibility of the customer. If you are in an area with strict customs regulations, such as the UK, EU, South America, etc., please check with your local government office. If you refuse to receive your package due to refusal to pay taxes, we will refund your money after deducting shipping costs and related expenses. (*Additional return shipping charges may apply due to fluctuating courier shipping costs.)

DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) 

All our items are shipped under DDU terms. The final price you see on the checkout page includes the cost of shipping, but does not include any taxes on your end. Taxes are to be paid by the customer upon receipt of the goods.

FOB (Free on Board)

Our goods are delivered under FOB terms. This means that all responsibility/ownership of the package will be transferred from the seller to the buyer once the package leaves Japan. Therefore, in the unlikely event that a package is damaged or lost, the responsibility lies with the buyer, not the sender. In the unlikely event that a package is damaged or lost, please request a refund from the courier company.

For this reason, we will send you tracking number with your order information when we ship your package. Please do not accept damaged packages. If there is a problem with your package, we will do our best to help you, so please contact us via chat.
